Information about Ofsted registered childcare, schools, colleges and other education services for families in Merton.
From Friday 20 March 2020, schools, childcare and other educational settings were closed to the majority of children due to the coronavirus outbreak. Schools, colleges, and a number of nurseries, childminders and other registered childcare settings remained open for children of critical / key workers and vulnerable children where they can.
The Government published a list of critical workers - please click on the link under Related Websites below to view this.
From 1 June 2020, the Government has asked education and childcare settings to open up to all other children where they can.
In line with government guidance, settings have completed risk assessments. Some settings, to mitigate risks to staff and children due to the physical environment of the setting, have decided to remain closed for a period from 1 June.
