Using my M-Card

Find out more about activities and services which offer concessions or benefits for Merton children and young people, including those who have an M-Card.

If a service provider offers concessions for M-Card holders, you will see a picture of an M-Card next to it in the listings. All other services listed in this section offer concessions for all children and young people with SEND.

The benefits of having an M-Card include:

  • Priority access, avoiding the need to queue
  • Parking concessions in places where parking is usually restricted
  • Discounts
  • Free access for carers

Many other concessions and benefits across the UK for all children and young people with SEN and disabilities are also detailed here.

Whilst we do try to make sure that all this information about benefits and concessions is up-to-date, we do advise you to check directly with the provider before visiting any venue. This is especially true during the coronavirus outbreak as some activities or services may not be running. Please be aware that, in some cases, organisations require extra proof of disability.

If your child has benefitted from a concession using their M-card and the organisation is not included in this section, please do let us know and we will look into publishing details so that other families can benefit too. Simply email localoffer@merton.gov.uk

About the M-Card

The M-Card provides recognition of a disability even where this is not obvious. It can help to avoid the need for lengthy explanations when asking for assistance. It can also allow the card holder to benefit from concessions on some services in the London Borough of Merton and further afield.

If your child does not yet have an M-card, you can can find out more about it and apply via the links in the 'Popular' section on this page
