Wimbledon RFC Inclusive Rugby

We coach children to play a non-contact version of rugby called touch rugby. The session consists of regular drills/practice routines then a short game. We are very relaxed about the rules in order to allow a game to take place. The session is run alongside the main session for other children of all ages.

Local Offer

Description

We'd like to invite you to bring your son or daughter to try out a new section of our rugby club. As we now run an inclusive rugby session for children who have Special Educational Needs and Additional Vulnerabilities aged between 7 and 12 years.

There is NO TACKLING in Inclusive Rugby and those players who pick the game up well may use it as a stepping stone into mainstream rugby with their parents and their agreement

There's no charge for the first few sessions so you've nothing to lose and more to the point you and your children may just find a whole new way to have fun and an exciting new club to join.

We encourage siblings to join in if they want to and it helps. Likewise a parent usually plays alongside the child but this is not compulsory
