Early Communication Group Programme

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, this programme has been suspended. We will update this website page as soon as it is available again.
The Early Communication Group programme helps children with communication and language delay to develop their listening, attention, understanding and speaking skills. It also helps parents and carers to develop their confidence in supporting their child’s communication at home.
The child’s communication will have been assessed as being delayed by at least 6 months in listening and attention, understanding and speaking and the referrer will have provided evidence that they would benefit from this type of programme. Children will have had a referral to a speech and language therapist or to a paediatrician due to concerns about their development, but may not have been seen yet.
Please read the leaflet on this page for full details.
