Wimbledon Chase Primary ARP (Additionally Resourced Provision)

A specialist provision for up to 16 pupils who will benefit from intensive speech and language therapy, a language rich environment and a curriculum that is differentiated to meet their individual needs.

14 places are linked with mainstream classes and 2 reserved for nursery assessment places.

We are staffed by 2 experienced SEN teachers and experienced teaching assistants trained to understand the needs of pupils with speech, language and communication needs.

Notes

Admission is via the Merton SEN team. Please contact them for all enquiries about admissions (sen@merton.gov.uk).

Pupils are identified through Portage, Early Years Support team, Speech and Language therapists (via the NHS clinics or Language and Learning Team), Educational Psychologist Service, EHCP planning meetings and at School Annual Reviews.

An Education, Health and Care Plan is required for admission to the ARP with speech, language and communication difficulties defined as the child’s primary special need. Children can be admitted at any suitable date throughout the academic year if spaces are available.
