NCS Challenge - skills for life, work and adulthood
All 15 to 17 year olds in Merton are eligible to take part in the National Citizen Service (NCS) Challenge programme. It has three parts:
Get Active
An action-packed residential trip away from home
Team Challenge
Work as a team to develop new skills in subjects such as sport, media, drama, photography etc. in a university setting
Social Action
Make your mark. Use your new skills to design a social action project in your local area and pitch to win funding to make it happen
The project is majority funded by the Government. You can find out more from your school or on the Challenge website

- Description
The programme is are able to accommodate a large range of Special Educational Needs and medical conditions as long as we are fully informed of them in appropriate time before the programme starts. One-to-one support is available on certain programmes. In some cases, a doctor's or other professional's input to check the young person is able to participate safely.
