Detached Youth Work Team (Merton)
The role of our detached team is similar in many ways to that of our centre-based colleagues. We travel around the borough, to establish positive relationships with young people based on mutual trust and respect. We travel to where they are, and engage with them on personal levels in their territories. We can be identified by our purple or black uniforms with the logo "Detached Team".
Through mutual acceptance, our staff work with young people to establish their individual needs. We support the young people with advice on drugs, alcohol and sexual health issues
