Description

Going Out provides outings which are chosen by the children/young people themselves, and which include going to the gym, swimming, cinema trips, restaurants, walks.  Each child/young person will have a personal plan which includes their own targets for development, and what they hope to achieve from attending the service.

The purpose of Going Out is to support young people with a learning disability and autism to access mainstream activities, reduce their isolation and promote their inclusion in the community.  The project encourages the promotion of independence and life skills, while also providing a meaningful short break for family carers
