NHS Children's Speech and Language Therapy Service

Merton Children's Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) is a service that works with children and young people who have difficulties with speech (talking clearly), language (understanding what other people are saying or expressing themselves) and communication (knowing how to use language with different people and for different purposes)
Speech and Language Therapists also work with children and young people who use other ways of communicating such as signing, pointing at pictures or symbols, or using electronic devices.
Speech and Language Therapists also help children and young people who have difficulty in swallowing food and drink, and who need help in eating and drinking safely.
