H4W Domestic Abuse Floating Support Service

Housing for Women offer a BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) Floating Support Service for women living in the London Borough of Merton experiencing Domestic Abuse. We provide support to women experiencing domestic abuse in the last 3 months, with low-medium support needs and that are BAME. The perpetrator can still live in the family home.

Type of Support Offered

The Floating Support service provides person-centred support, specific to the individuals needs.  The Support Worker can meet with the woman in her home or in the community.

•  Advice on staying safe and secure
• Identifying support networks and accessing services
• Managing finances; through budgeting, benefits, skills & employment
• Accessing legal advice
• Advice on Housing issues
• Domestic Violence and Abuse Awareness
• Emotional Support; accessing counselling or other therapeutic remedies
