The British Humanist Association is the national charity working on behalf of ethically concerned, non-religious people in the UK. It's the largest organisation in the UK campaigning for a secular state and for an end to religious privilege and to discrimination based on religion or belief.  Main meetings are free and usually held on the last Tuesday of the month.  See website for details of coffee mornings and book group, etc.
