The Squad Youth Club
The Squad runs Thursday night clubs for people with learning disabilities and is based in Wimbledon.
Our club nights are fun-packed and educational and our members enjoy socialising with their friends whilst also trying out new experiences.
The club is split into 2 age groups: the 'juniors' club is for under 25s and our 'vets' clubs is for over 25s. The clubs are run separately and both have their own programme of age-appropriate activities.
Our members are the most important part of The Squad. They help to the run the clubs, vote on what we should include in our activity programmes and are involved in decisions about The Squad's future.
Our members are supported by two dedicated part-time club leaders, one per club, and an enthusiastic and hard-working group of volunteers. Our volunteers help to organise activities and always encourage everyone to take part.
