Parking concessions for M-Card holders in Merton

M-Card

1. M-Card holders are entitled to 30 minutes parking at school drop-off and pick-up times in pay and display and / or permit bays and on yellow lines only in the immediate vicinity of the school. 2. Holders can get 2 hours’ parking in the immediate vicinity of children’s centres in pay and display and / or permit bays and on single yellow lines. 

3. Buy one hour of parking and get one free at Peel House Car Park, lower level opposite Sainsbury’s in Morden (note: This can be used when visiting Merton Civic Centre). 

Parking officers have been asked to allow one hour extra on top of a valid ticket’s purchase time when displayed with an M-Card on your dashboard. Maximum stay: 2 hours 

4. Buy one hour of parking and get one free in Merton’s open spaces at Abbey Recreation Ground, Tamworth Recreation Ground, Wimbledon Park, Haydon’s Road Recreation Ground and Morden Park. Parking officers have been asked to allow one hour extra on top of a valid ticket’s purchase time when displayed with an M-Card on your dashboard.

While the M Card does grant some parking benefits, these benefits do not extend to exemptions for moving traffic violations, such as entering a restricted area during restricted times, To be allowed to access the school streets, when they are in operation, you must first speak to your school who will then need to apply on your behalf through the parking services system. They will require a copy of the M-Card to be uploaded within the application of the child as proof.
