Merton Family Hubs Transformation Programme

Merton Council is happy to announce that we have received funding from the Department for Education’s Family Hub Transformation Programme (TF1). The funding will support local services to work together in partnership to transform the way in which child and family services are delivered in the borough.

Family Hubs are a place-based way of joining up locally in the planning and delivery of family services. They provide a single ‘front door’ to a range of services, making it easier for families to get the right help at the right time.

Family Hubs offer information, help and support to families from conception up until age of 19 (or 25 for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and bring together staff working across a range of different services, including the council, health services and voluntary and community organisations.

We have a thriving network of children’s centres, youth centres, libraries and other community centres and buildings in in Merton, all offering access to information, help and support delivered by staff working across a range of different services, including the council, health services and voluntary, community and faith organisations.

Our aim is to better coordinate these services, to make sure that all families know how to access the information and help they need, when they need it.

Over the coming months we will be bringing together families, community members and delivery partners to find out more about the programme and importantly theirrole in shaping and developing the Family Hub model in Merton
